Let's talk about J.M Kariuki

Kenyan politics today seems backward. In the absence of actual discussions on policy, mudslinging, doublespeak and a goon culture have become the order of the day. As a result, an increasing number of voters are turning away from more traditional figures as they search for leaders who are more in touch with the realities on the ground.

You see it in the “Tuko Kadi” initiative. There is a rising sense of civic consciousness in the body politic, born of the frustrations of Kenyans with a dysfunctional system of governance, and leaders who are nothing but charlatans, sycophants and criminals with no intention of bettering their lives despite flowery promises during campaign periods.
